Keinan Davis has played 15 sensational games this season and has recently just been rewarded with a bumper new contract, keeping him at the club until 2020 despite interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United. The young man has scored 2 goals this season, although not setting the world on fire with his own goal tally, he provides much more than goals and increases the performances of those around him.
Davis was released from Stevenage in 2015 for supposedly being too small, hard to believe given he’s been bullying championship defences since the start of the season, he had been playing on the left wing which obviously he wasn’t suited too.
Davis then went on to join Biggleswade town and played in their under 18s side where he was transformed into a centre forward and he hasn’t looked back since.
Keinan came into the first team picture last season when contract negotiations between the club and Hepburn-Murphy were taking longer than expected. He was given his chance, making his debut against Tottenham in the FA cup last season where he was unspectacular but showed promise.
He was again given a chance at the beginning of this season against Norwich with Kodjia out with his ankle and Hogan struggling with form and this time he showed much more than promise.
Villa went onto win 4-2 courtesy of a Conor Hourihane Hat-trick with Davis bagging an assist and coming close to opening his account on multiple occasions.
Davis eventually found his first league goal 4 games later with an unstoppable header against Barnsley.
Keinan has picked up two goals and two assists this season however this certainly doesn’t tell the complete story. Davis has been the key man for Villa this season, with hold up play rivalling that of the great Christian Benteke.
His biggest asset this season is his ability to bring others into play, Adomah, Onomah, Hourihane and Snodgrass have all benefited greatly from Keinan’s superb hold up play and our attack looks far more dangerous with him leading the line opposed to Hogan and Kodjia this season.
Davis has been praised by former coaches for his fantastic work ethic and attitude. He’s described as a quiet and polite boy but once his confidence is up he’s unstoppable.
With Kodjia seemingly out for the season after more issues with his ankle and Hogan out for a month after a stomach operation, Davis is really our only option until we can bring another striker in come January but if he continues the way hes going and starts to add a couple more goals, we’ll have nothing to worry about.
I’m no longer sure the place you’re getting your information, however good topic. I needs to spend some time studying much more or working out more. Thank you for fantastic information I used to be in search of this information for my mission.
