This Saturday it’s crunch time as Villa go into the Championship’s late game needing a win to turn around their patchy form. To get the view from the other side, I’ve asked Rob (@scholarrob).

What were your expectations for Sheffield United going into the season?

I was confident that the quality of the squad that achieved promotion plus the additions made would surprise a lot of teams and pundits. I never feared relegation but didn’t really expect the start that we have had either. I thought we would finish around 10th.

How would you rate your season so far out of 10 and why?

Our season so far would be around 8.5. Until five games ago it would have been 9.5! We have had a nightmare with injuries which we have managed to overcome to a some extent, but it is evident that we need to bring players in in January if we are going to sustain a play off challenge.

Which United players should Villa be wary of?

Leon Clarke is scoring freely at the moment but he is dependent on service so we need Mark Duffy to be fit again along with our wing backs.

Where do you see Villa finishing this season and why?

I think Villa will finish 5th or 6th if they get players back fit and strengthen. However, I think that they will lose games they expect to win.

Score prediction for Saturday?

The score depends on the players we have available. We are struggling to keep clean sheets at the minute so I fully expect Villa to score at least two. Hopefully we’ll score too, 2-2. Whatever the outcome it has been a fantastic year to be a blade and we will continue to rise!
