Yesterday morning, on Saturday 3rd March, thousands of Villa fans could be heard groaning in despair at the fact that the game had been postponed due to bad weather.

Of course, it was postponed for the safety of both the home and away fans travelling in and to avoid injury to either group of fans in and around the stadium.

But whilst many fans were disappointed regarding the lack of Villa football this weekend, it does have its benefits.

Jack Grealish was not available for selection, and is apparently touch-and-go for Tuesday’s game against Sunderland, but Albert Adomah returned to contention for a place in the match day squad.

The postponement of the game allows Adomah a few more days of training before Tuesday’s game so that he can be at a higher level of physical fitness and hopefully his performance will echo this.

But, it also allows us to ensure Jack is back for the much more challenging game of Queens Park Rangers.

Jack has been sorely missed in recent games and would have more than likely been missed against QPR.

Having him available for the game now it has been moved will cement more confidence into the squad, and turn what could have been quite a nervy affair and very likely a shaky win or draw into a solid win.
