Visit Villa Park Twice This Weekend
Aston Villa Ladies will grace the hallowed turf of Villa Park for the first time since 2016 this Sunday, and if you can, you should attend both games this weekend.

There’s two games at Villa Park this weekend, with the men’s side hosting rock-bottom Ipswich Town who are lead by former manager Paul Lambert – and the Aston Villa Ladies are in action just a day later, playing Leicester City Women in a 1pm kick-off.

If you have the time this weekend, and you’re local enough, why not come down to Villa Park on both days and get a double fix of the Villans?

We’ve compiled a few reasons why we think you should:

Be a Part of History

The last time the Aston Villa Ladies played at Villa Park, a crowd of 1,320 came to the fabled B6 stadium.

This year, ticket sales are already better than they were last season, so there’s more people expected to be in the stands when the Ladies face Leicester.

Should the number be beaten, you could be a part of a record-breaking crowd come Sunday.

Watch Some of the Brightest Young Talents in Women’s Football

With Jodie Hutton, Sian Rodgers and Asmita Ale all recently called up to the English Youth Set-up, the Aston Villa Ladies host some of the brightest young talents in Women’s footbal.

Hutton is Villa’s top scorer this season, and could flourish on the hallowed turf of Villa Park on Sunday.

Get your opportunity to see these ladies play before they’re performing on the International stage.

Help Reduce the Stigma

Although the women’s game is growing, there’s still some stigma behind women’s football.

With the Women’s World Cup only a few months away, helping to reduce the stigma by turning up at the Villa Ladies’ first appearance at Villa Park since 2016 is definitely worth braving the cold on Sunday afternoon.

One Aston Villa

Regardless of the gender of those on the pitch, these players are representing Aston Villa and as such deserve your support.

If you’re happy to support the male team, then why is going to see the Aston Villa Ladies any different?

You’ll be able to see two teams, flying one banner, over one weekend – that sounds good to us.

It’s Free for Season Ticket Holders

If you’re a season ticket holder for the male side, then you can get an afternoon of the Villa Ladies for absolutely nothing.

Whilst there’s hundreds of reasons why you should turn out at Villa Park for both games this weekend – surely that’s the icing on the cake?
