We’re in the finals for the Football Blogging Awards. You can vote for us for the first time (or second, this counts as an extra vote) by simply clicking the button below and clicking ‘post’. It really means a lot. Thanks in advance!

There’s only a few hours left to vote in this years Football Blogging Awards, and all of your favourite Aston Villa content creators are up for an award in a wide range of categories.

We’ll be rolling up to the Etihad Stadium on May 9th to see the best of footballing content creators potentially pick up an award, and mix it with some of the biggest names in world football such as Women’s England international and Juventus footballer Eni Aluko.

Last year, both us and The Villa View made the finals in our respective categories – ‘Best New Blog’ and ‘Best Podcast’, but fell short at the final hurdle.

This year, there’s a whole host of Aston Villa talent that are up for awards in a number of categories and we’re pushing hard to ensure that Villa take one of the awards home.

Under A Gaslit Lamp – yes, that’s us – are up for ‘Best New Content Creator’ this year and we’ve really been pushing in regards to our content throughout this season. We still provide the opinion content and news, but have also introduced podcasts to our forte.

As well as this, we’ve got a fan magazine currently in the works, and we post regular stat-based graphics to our social media pages. We’re all about trying to have multi-media content for fans to digest.

As well as this, The Villa View are up for a few awards this year. They provide post-match content with there adored fan cams, as well as their podcast and match previews and reviews.

They’re up for ‘Best Established Content Creator’, ‘Best Club Content Creator’, and ‘Best Podcast’ – and with, in our view, a greater chance in the Best Podcast category, your vote should go to them there.

Max Stokes, the main man over at Villa on Tour finds himself up for three awards too – ‘Best New Content Creator’, ‘Best Vlogger’ and ‘Best Club Content Creator’.

To avoid making a choice between us and Villa on Tour, and Villa on Tour and The Villa View – vote for Max as ‘Best Vlogger’ and he’s in with a cracking shout to win that award.

Young Jude Aston – who you may have seen interviewing the likes of Jack Grealish and Anwar El Ghazi this season is a budding journalist. The fourteen year old has Cerebral Palsy but hasn’t let that stop him on his journey to becoming a sports reporter.

He’s up for ‘Best Young Content Creator’ and should definitely have your vote in this category.

Our good friends over at 7500 to Holte also find themselves overlapping with other Villa content creators and are up for ‘Best Established Content Creator’ alongside The Villa View.

Holte have a great chance at bagging this award and should have your vote in this category.

And finally, Vital Football are up for ‘Best Forum’ – so if you enjoy the content that the good people over at Vital Villa are putting out, they deserve your vote there.
