FGC Notes are Now Available

A few times a season, some fan groups (featuring the likes of My Old Man Said and The Villa View) are invited for a consultation meeting with key figures at the club – including Christian Purslow.

The official notes from the club are now available to read, published on a number of websites for those invited, and the official club website here.

Joint Favourites for a Costa

Rather than the overpriced coffee, Aston Villa are now joint favourites for another Costa, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ winger Helder Costa.

The clubs former record signing, who joined in 2017, is tipped to leave the Molineux this season, and now Villa are considered the most likely alongside Leeds United to sign the enigmatic attacker.

From a high of 10/1 Aston Villa are now 6/4 joint favourites to land Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Helder Costa.
The Portuguese winger has fallen completely out of favour at Molineux after a disappointing Premier League campaign and seems likely to be on the move.

Courting Kongolo

It’s been widely reported that Aston Villa are interested in Terence Kongolo of Huddersfield Town. The defender, who broke The Terriers’ transfer record with his move from AS Monaco, impressed at the Yorkshire club despite their relegation.

Kongolo could cost a hefty sum, but according to Football Insider, contact has been made between the clubs as Villa look to shore up their defensive holes.

Capped four times by Holland, Kongolo has made 49 appearances in total for Huddersfield and was mainly used at centre-back in his 32 league starts last season. Villa are exploring alternative options to Tyrone Mings, who made such a big impression on loan in the second half of last season, but has returned to Bournemouth.
