Birmingham City Women midfielder Marisa Ewers has followed in the footsteps of Jota this summer and made the switch across the Second City, joining Aston Villa Women on a free transfer.
Ewers started playing football at the age of eight, before signing her first professional contract over a decade ago, with German side Hamburger SV in 2006.
Ewers becomes the second international singing in as many seasons, joining Nadine Hanssen within the middle of the park.
The 30-year-old managed 603 minutes of football last season after suffering a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury, but will be hoping to remain fit and add grit and experience into what is a relatively young Aston Villa Women squad.
Marisa Ewers has played for Germany up to Under 23 level, and captained the female Bayer Leverkusen side for two years.
In three seasons at Birmingham City Women, Ewers appeared 28 times.
Welcome to the Villa, Marisa!
