In the latest episode of our Aston Villa Women podcast, the first for three months, Regan (@findfoy) and Georgia (@georlh) discuss why the episode has taken so long and how the side have had to deal with the ongoing pandemic.

As well as this, they speak about the past four games that Gemma Davies’ side have played – including two Continental Cup results, the first win of the Women’s Super League season, and the first ever Second City Derby in the Women’s top flight.

They use the cup conversation to talk about whether the cup competitions could be used to springboard the side into good form, as well as to raise questions around who should be the number one with both goalkeepers proving their worth in recent performances.

To close out the podcast after much more discussion, the pair talk about how important it is to avoid an embarrassing defeat against Manchester United this weekend, with the Northern outfit currently unbeaten at the peak of the WSL.
